U.S. officials have said that the agreement reached in April between NASA and the private company SpaceX to develop a lunar vehicle is in accordance with the law and regulations. Big shock to Jeff Bezos, the US government backed Elon Musk.

The US Accountability Bureau has rejected the objection of US billionaire and Amazon owner Jeff Bezos, stating that the 2. 2.9 billion deal reached between NASA and Elon Musk's company SpaceX on the purchase and construction of the lunar spacecraft. No law or regulation was violated.

Jeff Bezos is thought to have objected to NASA's deal with SpaceX, offering the US space agency  2 billion dollar to build a lunar spacecraft.

Remember that NASA had decided to build a moon lander to take man to the moon during this decade and Elon Musk's company SpaceX has been selected for this work. The spacecraft will take the next man and the first woman to the surface of the moon under NASA's Artemis program.

The Lander is based on SpaceX's starship skills being tested at a location in South Texas.

In April 2021, the space agency rejected a bid from Jeff Bezos' company Blue Origin and signed a 2.9 billion dollar space deal with Elon Musk.

A decision on Jeff Bezos' new spacecraft offer will be made in early August, confirmed by the US space agency, but no further details have been released.

SpaceX competed with traditional large aerospace companies. They included a joint bid by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and another company, Dynamics. The total value of the contract awarded to Elon Musk's company is  2.89 billion.
