Technology Company Aktiia has launched a state-of-the-art blood pressure monitor. This monitor is manufactured in  Neuchatel, Switzerland. The new wristband, which looks like a simple fitness ring, is based on a new technology called 'Pulse View'. This band measures the pulse with the help of artificial intelligence. Blood pressure is measured while the patient is resting. If the user engages in physical activity or shakes his wrist a little, the measurement will stop temporarily.

The Aktiia system includes an application that connects to pressure collars and bracelets via Bluetooth technology. Blood pressure records can also be checked through the bracelet application and weekly or monthly reports can be submitted and converted into a PDF file to be sent to the doctor.

The smart bracelet constantly measures venous blood pressure. This technology, based on optical blood pressure monitoring, uses a light source that analyzes the changes in the veins with each heartbeat and records the results through sensors inside the band.

The collected data is then transferred to the smartphone application. This way the data can be viewed there and shared with the doctor or nursing member.

Designed as a comfortable and away from any kind of tightness, the Aktiia Band is the result of 15 years of scientific research.

It is now available in the market in about forty countries. The first of these bands was launched in the British market earlier this year at a price of 159 Pounds. This band is suitable for people between the ages of 40 and 65 who are at risk of high blood pressure.

According to Mattia Bersi, one of the founders of Aktiia, the company achieved this success because it started work on it early.
