These institutions expressed concerns that the negative effects, which can impact children's mental growth and overall personality, necessitated a ban on TikTok. The announcement of the TikTok ban was made by the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports, and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan.

The statement highlighted that after careful consideration, the ministry arrived at the conclusion that there were no adequate user controls in place on the platform to prevent children from accessing potentially harmful content.

According to the statement, the social media platform failed to implement appropriate age verification measures for its users.

Authorities explained that TikTok takes users into a world of short videos in the virtual realm, and some individuals are jeopardizing their lives by attempting to recreate content from the social media platform. Officials noted that this type of content has negative effects on the emotional personality of the younger generation.
