An application has been filed in the Supreme Court to ban short video sharing app TikTok. The petition was filed by five other citizens, including Mian Ali Zeb. The Federal PTA, Ministry of Information Technology and PEMRA have been made parties in the petition. the Supreme Court for ban on Tiktok.

The petitioner requested that a new policy be formulated by banning tiktok and ordering the government to set up a regulatory mechanism to curb immoral content.

The social media platform is used to make a variety of short-form videos, from genres like dance, comedy, and education, that have a duration from 15 seconds to one minute.
