Hamza Khan of Pakistan has become the World Junior Squash champion.

Hamza Khan, affiliated with the Pakistan Army, defeated Egypt's Muhammad Zakaria 3-1 in the final of the Junior Squash Championship held in Melbourne.

After 1986, Hamza becomes the first Pakistani to win the World Junior Squash Championship trophy, with the last victory for Pakistan achieved by Jahangir Khan. After training under the guidance of Army coach Asif Khan for two months, Hamza went to Australia, and upon winning the championship, he received congratulations from the Pakistan Squash Federation. He was warmly welcomed back to his homeland.

 

On the other hand, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended his congratulations to Hamza Khan, along with his parents, coach, and fellow players, on winning the World Junior Squash Championship after 37 years. He thanked Hamza Khan for bringing this title back to Pakistan and expressed hope that in the future, he will make Pakistan unbeatable in squash once again.

 

He further stated that during the 15 months, Pakistan has achieved several honors in mountaineering, boxing, squash, and other sports.

 

It is worth noting that as a national player, Hamza Khan has represented Pakistan at various levels and has secured multiple titles. He is currently ranked third in the Junior World Rankings.
