Battlefield 6 will be released in the third quarter of EA's fiscal year, sometime in October and December 2021. EA's call for sales on Tuesday is accompanied by a slideshow that clearly shows how the company's next Battlefield game will look in the third quarter. Wilson also said that Battlefield 6 - or whatever the official title is - "takes full advantage of the power of the next generation platform to bring to life big, addictive battles with more players than ever before." As IGN noted, EA confirmed today that, despite previous rumors conflicting, Battlefield will launch on current and next-generation consoles.

"Battlefield's next vision introduces a map of unprecedented scale, taking all the destruction, freedom of choice, and vehicle and gun battles known to the franchise and taking it to another level," added Wislon.
