Pakistan is a third-world country with a lower GDP than most countries in the world. It is then surprising to find out that Pakistan has one of the most expensive education systems in the world as well. Private institutions have monopolized education to the extent that most middle-class families strive to send their children to elite class private institutions as they feel like it would be impossible for their children to succeed if they don™t.  Due to this, these institutions have jacked up their prices to a very high amount and charge ludicrous amounts for œquality education. This is one of the reasons why educations is so expensive in Pakistan. The Pakistani government educational ministry is simply incompetent. With a long trend of systematic incompetency, public schools in Pakistan are on the verge of collapse, with no real syllabi updates, under-paid staff and schools with absolutely no facilities; most individuals now prefer private schooling as a viable albeit more expensive option as they feel their children will not be able to attain a proper education in government schooling as per their level of satisfaction. Pakistani schools are also accursed with the relics of Matriculation exams by various board examination agencies in Pakistan. These boards serve as nothing but hubs to have children cram and memorize as much as they can.

The education system in general cannot be fully talked about without the mention of various academies in the society that serve no purpose but to cram information into students and help them pass their exams or get exceptional grades. As parents feel that this is more important, they decide to enroll their children in these universities as well alongside private colleges. This has led to a huge discrepancy between the youth of Pakistan which is unhealthy for our next generation. Due to a lack of supply and a large demand, teachers and educators charge extremely high prices which schools have to honor. These schools in turn charge large sums from parents who ultimately have to pay the price. Due to this, education is extremely expensive in Pakistan.
