Although the vast majority of parents are aware of the risks their child is exposed to online, sometimes it gets the impression that not everyone is aware of the dangers of the modern Internet and the impact it has on children, especially those who are still developing. This article aims to make some parents aware of what their child is exposed to when the time the child spends online is not controlled - from vulgar content and hate to making dangerous contacts with strangers.
Vulgar content, popular hate
On the Internet, mainly on social networking sites and forums such as Facebook, Instagram or Twitter, we can find a lot of uncensored and vulgar comments that are often not removed. Everyone has access to them, everyone can read them. Also our child, who often has his own Facebook or Instagram at a very young age. Moreover, the likelihood of finding pornographic material online in front of a child (in a completely random manner) is also high. Many pornographic sites use images based on children's films and Disney cartoons, and these encourage our children to click. There are also dangerous content on internet forums. There are many groups of girls who support bulimia or anorexia, boys who support violence and bullying of schoolmates and many others. Hejt on the Internet is a very well-known phenomenon in Poland. It is based on hatred of another human being, which translates into very offensive comments articaled by so-called "haters." There is a lot of profanity, criticism and, above all, racism. When reading such comments, our child is soaked with this evil, and yet these are not the values ‹‹we instill in him from childhood.

Dangerous contacts
As we well know, the Internet is a source of making new contacts with people and peers. Nevertheless, there are sometimes abuses in this matter. Unfortunately, we are not unfamiliar with the phenomenon of seducing children for sexual exploitation or later drawing them into various sects or criminal groups. Most children and adolescents are very naive and get caught up in conversations on forums and internet portals without realizing what the consequences may be.
Games on the Internet
Many children nowadays play a variety of browser games, i.e. games for which we need a web browser. This is not surprising, but compulsive gaming can cause many problems at school - from deteriorating relationships with peers to lower grades and lower intellectual capacity. What's more, there are many vulgar games on the Internet, in which violence and blood spill predominate. For example, a game called Happy Wheels, in which the main character, grandfather, loses his limbs in a very macabre way just to drive through crazy tracks straight to the finish line. The games don't have to be harmful, though. It all depends on their subject. That is why it is so important that we make sure that our child plays games that develop his skills and teach him something useful, like the game you can find here. It teaches, keeps the child entertained, and there is no violence or violent scenes. Research shows that every second child spends his free time on the Internet. There is nothing wrong with that, as long as we know what our child is doing there. It is important that we talk to the child on a regular basis and observe his or her activity on the Internet. Full control of the websites and pages that our child visits will fully help us reduce the risk of threats to which they are exposed.
