The OnePlus 9 series has confirmed that it has a 50 megapixel ultra-wide camera

OnePlus 9 launched in India on 23 March. Prior to the official presentation, the company introduced various telephone functions. The OnePlus 9 series offers 5G support and a quad rear camera setup. It will contain a 50MP Sony IMX766 ultra wide camera. The OnePlus 9 Pro smartphone is expected to offer a 50 megapixel camera. However, it is not known whether the same sensor will be available in the standard version of the phone.

The company has partnered with camera maker Hasselblad to bring the enhanced OnePlus 9 camera experience to consumers. The focus of the upcoming OnePlus 9 phones will likely be on the cameras as the company is developing them with Hasselblad.

"With the advanced hardware and computer photography from OP and the rich aesthetic knowledge of traditional Hasselblad photography, I am confident that the OP 9 series will represent a major step forward in our ability to deliver premium flagship cameras." Pete Lau, Founder and CEO of OP, said in a statement.

The brand recently confirmed that the OnePlus 9 series will be available with a 140-degree panoramic camera, T-Lens technology for fast focusing via the front camera, and a free-form lens to eliminate edge distortion in ultra-wide-angle shots. There will also be a Hasselblad Pro mode which gives the company the ability to adjust ISO, focus, exposure, white balance and more.

If a leak is suspected, the OP 9 Pro offers a 48MP Sony IMX789 main sensor with a 140-degree field of view. It is supported by a Sony IMX766 50MP ultra wide dot matrix camera with free form lens. It can also have an 8MP telephoto camera and a 2MP monochrome sensor. There may be a 16 megapixel Sony IMX471 selfie camera on the front.
