Islamic education is extremely important for the schooling system in Pakistan. Students must understand that it is vital for them to learn about their religion and understand its principles rules and concepts. Islam is an extremely important part of a studentâ€™s life and it should be taught to them at a young age. Concept such as the 5 pillars of Islam and prayer are extremely vital for students to understand and learn. Nowadays Islamic education is not implemented as well as it is and is rather focused on memorization and not on learning concepts.
The implementation of better Islamic education is also in the benefit of the country as a whole. People will be more accustomed and enrooted in Islamic culture and heritage and will be better able to defend their religion in case it is ever attacked. The importance of Islamic education in our schools can also be seen by the ongoing debate happening in our society regarding the implementation of stricter Islamic education in regulations and principles as well.

Religious education has always been a hot topic of debate especially in the recent years with the modernization of Pakistani culture in and of itself which has led to more students being taken away from the roots of their culture and religion. Islamic education has always been an important part of the curriculum of Pakistan but lately due to board and matriculation exams and Cambridge examinations this has slowly been fizzled out.
We should implement better Islamic education in our schools as it will help us become more integrated into our culture and society. Moreover, due to this, more students will be able to better understand the concept of Islam and itself and perform their religious duties much better with zeal and vigor. Education is extremely important whether religious or not as students will have engrained their culture much more appropriately. This alongside proper religious education by parents at home will make sure that the student grows up to be good human being and a Muslim.
