Ministry of IT and Telecom announces introduction of 5g

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Information Technology and Telecom has announced the introduction of 5G technology in 2023.

The Ministry of Information Technology has said that 5G will be introduced in IT and Telecom 2023, in which foreign investors have also expressed happiness.

The Ministry of IT and Telecom has said that deep fiberization projects have been launched across the country to meet the future needs of digitalisation and for future needs like 5G.

It may be recalled that in the last three years, the market size of Pakistan telecom industry has reached 16.9 billion after an increase of 1.2 billion in foreign investment.

The ministry says USF projects have laid a network of more than 1,800km of unsafe roads in Balochistan, including highways and motorways, while by 2022, more than 10,000km of optical fiber cable will be laid across the country, with 1,175.
