A 17-year-old youth committed suicide by jumping from the roof of his house

A 60-year-old man who forced a 17-year-old teenager to commit suicide was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

According to a foreign news agency, a local court in Spain has sentenced a man to 10 years in prison for threatening a teenager to commit suicide.

According to AFP, in December 2016, a 60-year-old man sent hundreds of threatening messages to a 17-year-old boy on WhatsApp.

Yesterday, the court wrote in its verdict that the criminal sent 119 threatening messages on the teenager WhatsApp within three hours.

The perpetrator through his messages accused the boy of having visited inappropriate websites at a young age and threatened to take legal action against him.

The accused also told the teenager that he would destroy his parents for visiting certain websites while he was a minor.

According to the court decision, the young man apologized to the man several times and threatened to commit suicide. The accused knew very well that the youth would commit suicide by threatening him.

Fearing threatening messages and legal proceedings, the teenagers jumped from the roof of his house, leading to his death.

According to the court, the culprit was not aware of the teenager™s death, and continued to send threatening messages on WhatsApp even after the boy's suicide.

The court also sentenced the offender to 10 years in prison for sending threatening messages and forcing the young boy to commit suicide, while also ordering damages of $171,000 for causing 'moral damage' to the boy's family.
