Children get affected by the environment they are in; be it at home or the school environment. Schools are enriching and offer amazing experiences to young ones however; children might get exposed to some bad habits at school which parents have tried hard to keep them away from.

It is something inevitable as a child interacts with other children from multiple backgrounds. Since kids are highly impressionable, they easily get affected by their peers™ habits. Moreover, they are too young to find the difference between bad and good habits unless they are educated about it.

Some of the things a child may pick at school can be gross or annoying. Parents need to deal children strategically to help them abandon those habits. The first thing parents can do is to ignore if their child uses a swear word.

If they don™t pay attention or show anger, the child will stop using that word because children are attention hungry and not getting attention through trying new things makes them leave those things. In case the child repeats the word at some other time, be relaxed and tell the child that the word they have picked up is not a nice one and you won™t allow its use at your home.

If the child thinks he has learnt something funny but actually it™s embarrassing, do not laugh even it sounds funny to you as well, and explain to them that it is an inappropriate word.

some children learn back-talking to parents; it obviously shows disrespect. But parents™ reaction is important here. Do not raise your voice or lose patience in a situation. Rather ask the child what made them behave like that. There might be some underlying problem behind such rudeness.
