Almost all Google applications and services are popular with the masses. The main reason is that they are cheap to use. But above all, they are also the best people in their segment, rather than not premium. As such, Google Translate has been an unrivaled translation service since its inception. Now, more than a decade after its launch, the Google Translate app for Android is a milestone

The Google Translate Android app was released in January 2010. Over the years, new features and a user interface have been added to the app, just like any other popular app that has survived a decade.

Now, 11 years and 3 months after its release, the Google Translate app Google Play Store has reached 1 billion downloads. These installations are performed by users, not OEMs, as this application is not part of the mandatory GMS (Google Mobile Services) core application package.

Anyway, this is not surprising since it is more than a decade since the Google Translate app for Android was introduced. Most importantly, there are no better apps, paid or free.

The Google Translated Android app currently supports 109 languages, transcription, pronunciation, offline translation, camera translation, dark mode and many more.
