Establishment of regular authority for drug prevention in educational institutions, recommendations prepared

Recommendations for the establishment of a regular authority for the prevention of drugs in educational institutions of Punjab have been prepared. Anti-Narcotics Punjab suggested the government to establish a regulatory authority, the regulatory authority will take effective measures to prevent drugs in educational institutions, the authority will also have special powers to prevent drugs in educational institutions.

The regulatory authority will also have powers to implement legal measures in private educational institutions; the Punjab Education Regulatory Authority will be able to look after other arrangements and educational matters. A formal briefing has also been given to the Punjab Chief Minister on the establishment of the new authority.
