Due to the outbreak of a pink eye infection (a disease affecting the eyes), educational institutions in Punjab have been closed for four days.

Lahore educational institutions have been closed for four days due to the outbreak of a pink eye infection. The Punjab government issued a notification for the closure of educational institutions. All public and private educational institutions in the province will remain closed for four days. Educational institutions in Rawalpindi will remain closed until Sunday.

 

As a result of the harmful injections given to 87 individuals affected by the pink eye infection in various regions of Punjab, eyesight has been impaired for some of them. The police have arrested the suspect responsible for preparing harmful and substandard injections. Authorities have instructed people to take precautionary measures to stay safe from the pink eye infection.
