Amazon has updated its cheapest tablet by introducing some improvements, such as the presence of a USB class C port to recharge its battery and connect it to other devices. The model, which weighs 282 grams, has a 7-inch screen with 1,024 x 600 pixel resolution, as well as a 3.5mm stereo input for use with wired headphones and a micro SD card slot thanks to which you can expand its storage (there is a 16 GB model and another with 32 GB capacity). Although its operating system is based on Android, Fire OS8 does not have access to the Google Play Store nor does it come pre-installed with Google's own apps and services. In their place are the Amazon apps: Photos (images), Prime Video (video on demand), Kindle (reading), Audible (audiobooks), Amazon Music (music).

The 'mini' version of the well-known tablet from the apple firm integrates an 8.3-inch Liquid Retina screen with 2,266 x 1,483 pixel resolution and 500 nits of brightness. With dimensions of 195.4 x 134.8 x 6.3 mm and a weight of 293 grams, it incorporates a Touch ID button for the user to authenticate securely through his fingerprint. In addition, this tablet, which offers 5G connectivity, incorporates the A15 Bionic chipset that stands out for its power; stereo speakers; and a 'centered framing' function suitable for video calls in which the front camera automatically follows the person to keep them in the center of the image. It works with the Android 11 operating system and has the Kids Space children's mode, thanks to which the little ones have access to a wide library according to their interests that includes, among other content, videos, games and books.

With a casing made of a single piece of aluminum, this tablet with rounded edges and weighing 372 grams has an 8.7-inch screen with 1,340 x 800 pixel resolution, and a sound system consisting of two stereo speakers. At the connectivity level, it is charged via USB-C and also includes Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi 5. Its storage capacity (a 32 GB version and a 64 GB version are available) is expandable with a microSD card. It can also run on the Android 11 operating system.
