California: With only two weeks left for the launch of the iPhone 15, this new model has already raised the hopes of Apple becoming the world's largest smartphone company by the beginning of 2024.

According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, this year's iPhone 15 launch has resulted in a shortage of 22 million units in just minutes. This implies that if there are no changes in Apple's orders in the second half of 2023, the iPhone's shortage could range from 220 million to 225 million, potentially making Apple the largest smartphone brand.

Apple is optimistic about its outlook for 2024, targeting sales of 250 million units, while Ming-Chi Kuo indicates a year-on-year increase in sales rate between 5% to 10%.

Ming-Chi Kuo suggests that supply chain issues are causing concerns for Apple's iPhone 15 shortage, while a significant delay in the iPhone 15 Pro Max could also be a substantial issue.

According to analysts, the iPhone 15 Pro Max's large-scale production should commence this week, and Apple should also add to their "legacy models" in their production lineup.
