In response, the TikTok administration said that Tik Tok has implemented services and innovative strategies for timely identification of any inappropriate content, while hundreds of videos violating social norms. The administration added that users have also been provided with controls, analytics, and privacy options so that they can use the platform in many ways, with over 98% of inappropriate videos being timely identified and reported. PTA statement further said that spreading immoral content through mobile and social media apps is having a negative impact on society and youth. It was reported that both applications were asked to respond to unethical content. Both companies have been asked to act in accordance with Pakistani law and uphold Pakistan’s ethical values. However, no satisfactory response was received from both the companies after which the Bigo Live app was banned and a final warning was issued for TikTok, on which the TikTok management has now submitted its reply.
