Punjab Curriclum & Textbooks Board lahore banned 100 books which were part of private schools curriculum. This announcement is made by Rai Manzoor Nasir Managing Director Punjab Curriclum & Textbook Board in a press conference on very important surfacing matter which is anti Islam and misguiding the new generation . These books are part of many private schools syllabus. Rai Manzoor Nasir in a press conference yesterday showed a bunch of books in which these mistakes are been seen. He started his conference by stating how much importance do facts and figures actually carry in our lives. MD, Rai Manzoor Nasir shed light on various issues being discussed.
Incorrect information about anything can badly affect young minds, poison them up to multiple extents and cause circulation of false information. He with proof displayed how many textbooks had informaiton of Quaid-E-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah completly wrong with 1876 written as his birth year, many published textbooks contained information regarding historical islamic events and wars with information nowhere near to what actually happened.
Some textbooks including Oxford were found guilty of printing false dates, facts and figures regarding multiple events such for Allama Iqbal, some misinformation regarding Pashtoon warriors, and map of Pakistan in which Kashmir can be seen part of India and a few here and then common spelling and tenses mistakes. Considering all of these issues and approved incorrect information in mainstream books, Mr. Manzoor Nasir broke out news of banning the textbooks, their publishers and further printing for the next educational year until or unless the mistakes are recognized, rectified and taken care of.
